Liverpool behemoth David Price makes his big debut on Saturday 13th October at the Liverpool Olympia when he takes on British rival Audley Harrison in a Battle of the Olympians.
Heavy-handed Price, a Bronze medallist at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, is unbeaten in 13 fights with 11 going early - 9 of them inside three rounds - puts his British and Commonwealth titles on the line against the 2000 Olympic Champion.
The pair meet in one of the most eagerly awaited fights in recent years at West Ham United's Boleyn Ground in East London on July 14, live on BoxNation (Sky 456, Virgin 546).
Former British and Commonwealth champion Tyson Fury added the Irish title to his belt haul last night when he stopped Belfast veteran Martin Rogan in the fifth round at the Odyssey Arena.
Fury, who boxed with a safety-first attitude, dropped Rogan twice using a southpaw stance and deconstructed the veteran with right jabs and left hooks en route to a fifth round technical knockout.
Nathan Cleverly vs Tommy Karpency, WBO light-heavyweight title
Saturday 25 February, 7.30pm, BoxNation (Sky 456, Virgin 546)
Welsh hero Nathan Cleverly makes his fighting return to the valleys for the first time in four years and he’s brought a world title defence along with him. A stylish performance from Cleverly could open the possibility of a summer unification bout against the likes of Bernard Hopkins.
The Londoner appeared to shade the bout against the towering Helenius - regarded by some as the best heavyweight outside of the Klitschko brothers - by staying the busier of the two.
Former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora will challenge European titleholder Robert Helenius in Helsinki, Finland on December 3.
Del Boy who returned to the ring for the first time since his defeat to Tyson Fury last Friday, took every round of his six-round tune up against Remigijus Ziausys before claiming he was ready to mix it with tougher competition.
Having laughed off claims by Fury that he could ‘take Povetkin out’, the Russian’s promoter Kalle Sauerland revealed that they had made an offer to Fury to fight in December, which was turned down.
