George Groves wants winner of Abraham-Stieglitz

British super-middleweight star George Groves has targeted the winner of WBO World Champion Arthur Abraham and Robert Stieglitz’s clash next month.

The unbeaten Hammersmith southpaw first challenges Mouhamed Ali Ndiaye for the Vacant European title on Saturday 16th March at Wembley Arena, with Abraham and Stieglitz meeting a week later in Germany.

Froch: ‘Bute fight speaks for itself’

The ticket hotlines are already buzzing for Carl Froch’s return to Nottingham as The Cobra officially announced his IBF super-middleweight title challenge against Lucian Bute at the Capital FM Arena today.

The pair will be back to square off in the ring on May 26 and as the tickets went on sale this afternoon Froch refrained from any trash talking stating it was a contest that sold itself.

Former WBC super-middleweight champion Carl Froch will challenge Lucian Bute for the IBF title in a massive homecoming at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham on May 26, it was announced today.

The Nottingham star will fight in his hometown for the first time since October 2009 against the unbeaten Canadian-based Romanian who will defend his belt for the tenth time against The Cobra.

Dirrell, who makes his comeback against Darryl Cunningham this Friday on a co-feature with fellow ring returnee Jermain Taylor, labelled Bute a ‘protected’ fighter with ‘a lot to prove’.
