Many of the greatest boxers are men of few words who do their talking in the ring. Not for them the long drawn out press conferences and the endless sound bites for the TV.

Luckily for fight fans however, there are always fighters who are as devastatingly efficient at delivering a putdown in or out of the ring. Many of the most spiteful, sly digs often land weeks before the first bell rings, but then sometimes there are those who can sum up the fight game in one emotive, poignant sentence. Middleweight legend Nigel Benn has warned that the pressure on former rival Chris Eubank’s son will be intense, but has thrown his support behind the novice claiming he is in as great shape as his father was.

Eubank Jr stopped Lithuanian Kirilas Psonko inside four rounds on his professional debut in Manchester on November 12. But Benn, who fought two epic battles with Eubank Sr in the early 1990s, said the expectations on the young boxer would be difficult to shoulder.
