After his devastating 6th round knockout at the hands of his rival Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao has insisted he will be back in the ring. Despite pleas from his mother and wife, the Pac man has taken his defeat squarely on the chin and promised his fans he will bounce back from defeat.
After this the fourth meeting between the two warriors Manny explained: ‘I am OK. I just got over-confident in this fight. That is part of the game, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.’
Amir Khan has released a statement (below) on his decision to leave Freddie Roach, his trainer of four years. Over the weekend speculation has grown that Khan has approached Virgil Hunter, the highly respected trainer who coaches Andre Ward.
If true, Hunter will be Amir's fifth trainer and will see him taking charge of the Bolton fighter coming off two defeats. Roach however had a parting shot and some insider advice for Khan's next coach.
He said, 'I like Amir but they should keep him away from punchers.'
