Throughout the years, several British superstars, including Amir ‘King’ Khan, Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton and David ‘Hayemaker’ Haye, have fought under the Golden Boy Promotions banner. Today, the Los Angeles-based promoter is pleased to announce the signing of a promotional agreement with a young man it believes will follow in his countrymen’s footsteps, 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist for Great Britain, Anthony Ogogo.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has revealed that the WBA light-welterweight belt has been added to Amir Khan and Danny Garcia’s clash on July 14 after Lamont Peterson was stripped of the title.

Golden Boy announced yesterday that WBC light-middleweight champion Saul Alvarez will defend his title against former welterweight champion Victor Ortiz on September 15 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Alavarez's original opponent was Paul Williams but after Williams was left paralyzed from an unfortunate motorcycle injury, the fight was obviously canceled.

BoxNation has announced a long-term output deal with top US boxing promoter Golden Boy Promotions, commencing on April 21 with a double world-title show.
The show will feature Abner Mares facing Erik Morel for the vacant WBC super-bantamweight title and Anselmo Moreno and David De La Mora battling it out for WBA bantamweight super title.
