Former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik continued his comeback with a bloody seventh-round knockout of Scott Sigmon at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on Friday night.

Pavlik thoroughly dominated the outgunned and smaller Sigmon, whose repeated taunts of Pavlik on Twitter helped him land the super-middleweight fight.

Hopkins: ‘I’m the last of a dying breed’

Ring veteran Bernard Hopkins was defiant about maintaining his status as the oldest world champion in boxing ahead of his WBC light-heavyweight title defence against Chad Dawson this weekend.

Martinez who was the pundit’s choice had an emphatic year in which he decisioned Kelly Pavlik to capture the WBC middleweight title and then knocked out highly touted Paul Williams in the second round of their much anticipated rematch.
