Kessler KOs Green in four

Former super-middleweight world champion Mikkel Kessler shrugged off an early scare to knockout Allan Green in the fourth round of their WBC light-heavyweight silver title clash.

The Viking Warrior had to pick himself up off the canvas in the first round after being rocked by a heavy right hand followed by a flurry of punches to the head and body.

Mikkel Kessler and Allan Green took to the scales yesterday ahead of their WBC light-heavyweight silver title clash at the Parken in Copenhagen on Saturday night.

And the former super-middleweight contenders both came in well under the 175-pound light-heavyweight limit with a few pounds to spare yet one of them still looked slightly weight-drained.

Kessler and Green continue war of words

Mikkel Kessler and Allan Green continued their war of words when they met today at the final press conference for their WBC light-heavyweight silver championship clash this weekend.

Travelling fighter Green promised to break Kessler in two in front of his home fans and accused the Viking Warrior of not being the same fighter since his 2007 unification showdown with Brit legend Joe Calzaghe.

Kessler to face Green at light-heavyweight
