Having followed Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley all the way up to their welterweight title fight earlier last month, the Showtime cameras also stuck around to capture what went down on fight night. And in the final episode of Fight Camp 360º all the workings of a disappointing night in Vegas are revealed.
So the 12-round borefest served up by Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley on Saturday night might not have excited the hardcore fight fan but there was enough glitz, glamour and cheesy big show ploys to please any general peruser tuning in for the first time (some of the big show highlights below).
In a fight that was roundly booed through the later rounds, Pacquiao knocked down Mosley with a left hook in the third round but then spent the rest of the night chasing the older fighter as he refused to stand and trade.
Pacquiao came in at his usual 145lbs, roughly the same amount he weighed in his last outing against Antonio Margarito at light-middleweight, while Shane tipped the scales at 147lbs.
Pound-for-pound king Pacquiao acknowledged the lack of acrimony in the build up to the fight; calling it the ‘best promotion’ he had ever been involved in.
The song called ‘Die Hard’ features Eminem and will be first played to listeners anywhere on Showtime’s warts and all documentary series on the build up to Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley’s May 7 welterweight title bout.
