Cleverly to lead out Wales football team

WBO World Light-Heavyweight Champion Nathan Cleverly has been given the prestigious role of leading out Wales’ football team ahead of their Vauxhall international friendly match against Austria this Wednesday (6th February) at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium.

Welsh hero Cleverly, who makes the fifth defence of his title against mandatory challenger Robin Krasniqi on Saturday 16th March at Wembley Arena, will also carry the match ball  and take part in the half-time penalty shoot-out.

Vazquez - I’ll be ruthless like Javier Hernandez

Mexican hitman Miguel Vazquez says he’ll be as deadly as fellow countryman and Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez when he faces WBO World Lightweight Champion Ricky Burns at Wembley Arena.

Ringside Round-Up: Burns and Frampton triumph

The ‘Battle of Britain’ certainly lived up to the hype on Saturday night as Scottish World Champion Ricky Burns gave us a master class against a brave Kevin Mitchell.

The clever money was on a tactical 12-rounder with Burns edging it, unless the ‘big puncher’ Mitchell was to land and get the knockout. However burns clearly hadn’t read the script landing a devastating left hook onto the chin of the Londoner in the fourth round before following up with a vicious barrage to end the fight in fantastic style.
