Commonwealth super-middleweight champion George Groves has ripped into rival British strap-holder James DeGale ahead of their eagerly anticipated meeting next month.

In a candid interview with Boxingscene.com Groves dismissed DeGale’s trash-talk as harmless as well as labelling the Olympic gold medallist a ‘fake celebrity’.

Ringside spent time with both Amir Khan and Paul McCloskey’s camps as they prepared for their title showdown this weekend. The team was with Khan out in the Philippines as he worked with new strength and conditioning coach Michael Vale right under the nose of his former taskmaster Alex Ariza. In another massive coup for Sky Sports’ top class boxing magazine show, the Ringside cameras went behind the scenes at Frank Warren Promotions as they spent a day with proprietor Frank Warren himself.

After their frosty press conference yesterday, James DeGale and George Groves took all their animosity to the Ringside studios for a spectacular verbal joust on the Sky Sports boxing show.

Ringside spent some time with challenger Paul McCloskey as he prepares for his title fight with Amir Khan next month. Having set up camp in Belfast, Dudey is under the tutelage of veteran trainer John Breen and has enlisted the help of a strength and conditioning coach for the first time in his career. Although he is keeping it real as his own nutritionist.
