Carl Froch defeated Arthur Abraham in a punch-perfect unanimous points victory to regain the WBC super-middleweight belt just one fight on from losing it to Mikkel Kessler in April.
Froch was awarded every round by two of the judges, and 11 by the other to take the fight 120-108, 120-108, and 119-109 on the judges’ cards. His shutout performance was accentuated by keeping Abraham at distance with a sharp judge and varied combinations around the body and head.
Matthew Hatton has vowed to come through his European title defence tonight against Swiss challenger Roberto Belge and put the smile back on brother Ricky’s face.
The younger Hatton told the Manchester Evening News that he had been receiving advice from Ricky, who recently returned to the gym after a stint in rehab for drink and depression problems.

Hatton, 29, is on an eight fight unbeaten run and insists: 'I do think I am world class, but I have to show that against Belge. Since I beat Ben Tackie two years ago I have had some really good wins and believe I have been fighting at world class.
