Price looking for new broadcaster

British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price has confirmed that his proposed US debut on July 27 is off due to circumstances outside of his control.

It is the second setback for the big hitter in as many weeks after learning that Sky Sports would not be renewing his promoter Frank Maloney’s contract, leaving Price without a broadcaster in the immediate future.

Price set for American debut in July

British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price is set to make his American debut on July 27 on a show in Atlantic City against a yet to be named opponent.

Price had initially targeted a slot on the undercard of Amir Khan's world title clash with Danny Garcia in Las Vegas on July 7 but his team were unable to complete a deal for that to happen.

Bellew vs McIntosh moved to April 13

Promoters David Coldwell and Eddie Hearn have announced that ‘The Big Bang’ boxing show headlined by Tony Bellew vs Danny McIntosh will be moved from its original date of Saturday, April 14 to one day prior on Friday, April 13.

The British light-heavyweight title contest has been moved to avoid a clash with the potential all-Merseyside FA Cup semi-final and will still take place at Liverpool’s Echo Arena with the doors now opening at 6.30pm.
