Westlife want Pacquiao to join them in concert

Irish boyband Westlife have invited pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao to join them on stage later this month when they perform in the boxer’s home country, the Philippines.

Having scheduled a concert for September 29 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, band member Shane Filan told Filipino broadcaster ABS-CBN News that the group would be ‘honored’ by Pacquiao’s appearance.

WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez came together for the second leg of their international press tour yesterday when they addressed the media in New York City.

Hot on the heels of Floyd Mayweather’s own musical production, pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao has gone into the studio to record a number of his own. But as with his efforts in the ring, Pacquiao will take his musical sideline a step further this week ahead of his fight with Sugar Shane Mosley, by releasing his recording of 70s chart track “Sometimes When We Touch”.
