WBO super-featherweight champion Ricky Burns and challenger Joseph Laryea both comfortably made weight for their showdown at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow later tonight.

Burns came in at 129.8lbs and Laryea at 128.4lbs for the 130-pounder contest. Ghanaian Laryea then failed in another attempt to rile the champion when he made a throat-slitting gesture as the pair came together for the face-off.
