Kid Galahad became the new the WBC international super-bantamweight champion with an impressive unanimous points victory over the experienced Jason Booth in Rotherham on Saturday night.

Galahad who suffered a flash knockdown in the first round outclassed Booth from start to finish with multi-punch combinations and effective footwork to take him in and out of range at a canter and win it 120-109, 118-111 & 118-110 on the scorecards.

Cleverly dismisses Maccarinelli challenge

New WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly has dismissed a challenge from his former stablemate Enzo Maccarinelli stating he wants to go to America to prove himself.

Having rejoined old trainer Enzo Calzaghe for a comeback at light-heavyweight, Maccarinelli has put his name in the hat for a shot at Cleverly revealing he is happy to go back on his word never to fight his old friend.
