Before becoming a dominant force at the Queensberry rules, heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko tormented smaller opponents under a whole different set of rules. Here’s a video of the Ukrainian giant from his kickboxing days in which he amassed a record of 34-1 with 22 knockouts and six titles. As is usual practice with a Klitschko, Vitali uses his size and reach advantage to devastating affect, but surprisingly for Klitschko standards he just can’t put his man away.

Haye says Vitali fight agreed

David Haye took to Twitter on Saturday night to claim Vitali Klitschko had agreed to a much-anticipated fight for the WBC heavyweight title during a live interview on German station RTL.

Haye tweeted, ‘Vitali has just finally agreed to fight me in a live RTL interview! He told me I will be his next fight! Let's Get Ready To Rumble!’

Vitali Klitschko to run for mayor

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has announced that he will run for mayor of the Ukranian capital Kiev later this year, stoking rumours that his retirement from boxing is also imminent.

Klitschko, who heads the Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform (UDAR) party in his native Ukraine, confirmed that he will be throwing his name in the hat for the top job in the elections expected to take place in autumn.

The video captured by Russian journalist shows things from Haye’s point of view as it picks up with him mid-brawl and follows him as he congratulates Vitali Klitschko for the win and then claims the altercation is Chisora’s fourth loss before exiting the room.

Chisora fined £63k by German Boxing Federation

The German Boxing Federation (Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer) has fined British heavyweight Dereck Chisora $100,000 (£63,286) for his antics during his WBC title challenge against Vitali Klitschko last weekend.
