Just weeks after Amir Khan and Lamont Peterson’s highly anticipated rematch was called off due to a failed drugs test another blockbuster return was thrown into jeopardy yesterday after it was revealed Andre Berto failed a drugs test.

The blockbuster rematch between Amir Khan and WBA and IBF light-welterweight ruler Lamont Peterson rests in the hands of the Nevada State Athletic  Commission (NSAC) after the Washington fighter failed a drugs test.

Amir Khan's eargerly anticipated rematch with Lamont Peterson is in doubt after the WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion failed a drugs test.

Both fighters agreed to random testing before their bout in Las Vegas on May 19 and Peterson tested positive for banned substance, synthetic testosterone.
