Matthew Macklin says he and David Haye will return from Germany triumphant over the coming fortnight as both men attempt to wrest world titles from longstanding champions in the Central European country.

Shot by the boys at, the clip captures Haye comfortably laid out on the canvas while strength and conditioning coach Ruben Tabares looks like he’s trying to apply an arm lock.

Haye: ‘Wlad is no good guy’

WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has hit out at WBO, IBF and IBO king Wladimir Klitschko’s good guy image ahead of their unification clash on July 2.

Haye who is not afraid of ruffling a few feathers in the build up to a fight was surprised how much fans took to Wladimir over his charm offensive during the media drive for the fight.

Haye pep talk helps Andy Murray

British tennis No1 Andy Murray has credited a pep talk with WBA heavyweight champion David Haye for getting him mentally ready for Wimbledon.

The Scot was on the ropes following a crushing loss to Novak Djokovic in the Final of the Australian Open in January but revealed a chat with the boxer, who is preparing for his own showdown with fellow heavyweight champ Wladimir Klitschko, helped him regain his self-belief.

Heavyweight title contender Tyson Fury has revealed he is in the best shape of his life ahead of his title contest with British and Commonwealth champ Dereck Chisora.

The fight scheduled for July 23 will be screened live on Channel 5 and Fury says the large viewing figures from being on terrestrial TV has driven him to become more trim and muscular than ever.

Price credits win to sparring with Haye

Unbeaten heavyweight prospect David Price has praised the excellent sparring he received with WBA champion David Haye ahead of his win over Tom Dallas on Saturday night.

Price flattened the 6ft 6ins fighter from Kent in the second round to set up an October British title eliminator with John McDermott and the former Olympic bronze medallist credited his time with Haye for his performance.
