Chisora: ‘Half of London hates Haye’
Dereck Chisora believes he is not alone in his disliking of fellow heavyweight world title contender David Haye and has gone as far as to claim that ‘half of London’ actually hates the Bermondsey boy.
And with the pair set to clash on July 14 at Upton Park, in a bout fuelled by bad blood, Chisora is promising to put such a beating on the Hayemaker that he’ll feel it the morning after.
‘I don't like David Haye one bit, I'm not a fan at all,’ Chisora told the Metro. ‘I have known him since I turned pro and he was defending his European [cruiserweight] title at York Hall. He didn't want to fight and was a pretender.
‘My dislike of him is very strong. He talks too much crap so it goes very deep. I just don't like him. He's not respectful and half of London hates the guy.
‘He's not a heavyweight and I am going to hunt him down and kick his ass. David Haye doesn't know what's coming, if he did he wouldn't be in this fight.
‘The Audley Harrison fight was a disgrace and people should have got a refund from Sky. That's not going to happen when I climb into the ring against him.
‘I'm going to track him down and f*** him up. I don't want to hurt him so bad I will leave him in a wheelchair but I want him to wake up the next morning knowing I gave him a real beating and that he is in pain because of that.’
