Klitschko’s manager slams Haye
Speaking to BBC Radio 5, Boente dubbed Haye ‘sour’ and ‘cheap’, discounting any possibility of a rematch with Wladimir. But Boente did reveal that there was a chance Haye could fight older brother Vitali Klitschko.
‘It was a fantastic win by Wladimir and now all the belts are in the family,’ boasted Boente. ‘For me Haye is a real sour loser talking about a broken toe.
‘I don’t know any fighter that goes into a fight without any bumps or bruises from a tough training camp. Wladimir has often gone into a fight with injuries.
‘You either take the fight or you cancel it and you don’t talk about any nonsense like that afterwards. It was very cheap and I cannot accept that.
‘It was a very one-sided fight and that shows what a very cheap character David Haye is, Wladimir was also very disappointed about that. Haye had no chance against Wladimir and the points decision was very clear.
‘We’re not thinking about a rematch, we went through a very hard promotion with Hayemaker, we had a very tough time in the littlest things and we’re all happy that we have this fight behind us.
‘The only fight that I could see at this moment that has real interest could be a fight between Vitali and David Haye later this year or beginning of next year.’
